Municipal council
The municipal council of the Communauté Rurale de Beausoleil is formed of eight members elected through universal suffrage in local government elections. The municipality is divided into four wards, each of which is represented on the council by a councillor. In addition, three General councillors are elected by all citizens just like the mayor. Council members are called upon to vote on and adopt Beausoleil's main municipal legislation, including the annual operating budget, by-laws and policies.
