Comité Historique de Notre-Dame
The Comité Historique de Notre-Dame is a non-profit organisation created to discover, tell and preserve the history of the village of Notre-Dame de Kent. The committee began meeting informally in 2007 before officially registering as the "Comité Historique de Notre-Dame" in 2012. Since then, the committee has undertaken a variety of projects, including public presentations by its members and guests, research into genealogy, buildings and villages, and the collection of photos, documents and artefacts. The committee also conducted interviews with senior citizens in the village and began work on creating a museum to display the material collected. They have helped to write and publish books on the history of the village, veterans of the community, the village of Notre-Dame, priests and nuns, and the history of the schools.
